We built JobPilot AI to help you find work in the UK and Ireland. This page explains, in plain English, what we do with your information.
Your account email, the profile and preferences you enter, CVs you create or upload, cover letters, saved jobs, applications you track, alerts and your searches. If you choose, we keep a private copy of the original CV file you upload. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us only your name and email address; we never see your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
Only to provide the service to you: finding and ranking jobs, helping with your CV, cover letters, applications and interview practice. When AI features are enabled, the relevant parts of your profile and CV are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. We do not sell your data.
We count visits to understand which pages help people, using our own system rather than an outside analytics company. We don't use cookies or store anything on your device for this, and we don't keep your IP address: each visitor is an anonymous code that changes every day, so visits can't be linked across days or to you. We record the page, the website that linked to us, and whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer. Turning on “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser switches this off. Statistics are deleted after 13 months.
If you add a home postcode or town, we use it only to show how far jobs are from you. We store it rounded to about 100 metres and never share it with employers. To look up a UK postcode we send it to postcodes.io (a free, open-data service). Irish Eircodes are matched to their area on our own server and aren't sent anywhere. If real travel times are switched on, the rounded start and end points are sent to OpenRouteService to work out the route. Directions links open Google Maps only when you click them.
We only email you about things you've turned on, such as job alerts or the weekly summary. Every weekly email has a link to stop it without signing in.
The JobPilot AI browser extension only does something when you click it. “Fill this page” downloads your contact and CV details from your account and types them into empty fields on the page you're on; it never submits forms, and it leaves diversity, criminal record, health and salary questions for you. “Save this job” sends that page's address, title and text to your account so it appears in your tracker. The extension talks only to your JobPilot AI account, keeps your access token in your browser's extension storage, and doesn't track your browsing. Disconnect it, or revoke the token in Settings, at any time.
We never send your information to an employer unless you review exactly what will be shared and approve it for that application. Most applications are completed by you on the employer's own website.
You can download a copy of your data, delete uploaded files, or permanently delete your account at any time from Settings — free, with no subscription needed.
